Renée Ménard


Renée Ménard is a Canadian anthropologist with a Master Degree Laval University, Quebec, Canada. She has 19 years of practical experience working in: Social-Environmental Integration of projects and operations; Gender and Development; Environment, Social and Cultural Impacts; Socioeconomic Development. She has worked mainly for the energy sector, electricity generation and transmission, although she also has experience working with mining, forestry and territorial planning and management projects. She is trilingual, and is proficient reading, writing and speaking fluently French (mother tongue), English and Spanish. 

As a Socio-Environmental specialist, she has managed the Social Outreach Program for Consorcio Transmantaro S.A., owner of a high voltage transmission line in the Peruvian Andes. She has been the Coordinator for the Socio-Environmental Integration Program during the construction of the Mantaro-Socabaya Electric Concession, in Perú. She was in charge of preparing the preliminary and detailed proposal for the program, achieving the co-financing between the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and Hydro-Québec International. She has been in charge of the community relations during the construction of the Rio Lajas Hydroelectric Plant, in Costa Rica, a co-financed project with CIDA.
