Rémy Pinsonnault


Mr. Pinsonnault is an expert in Management Information Systems (MIS) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) who has worked on a range of projects that include the design of an integrated MIS and GIS for the Costa Rican National Real Estate Registry with the Costa Rican National Cadastre, the creation of an integrated MIS and GIS for the Peruvian Ministry of Energy and Mines, the creation of an executive information system for the Ministry of Environment of Egypt and the creation of a Geographic Information System for the Institute of Geology of Colombia. He has 10 years of experience in the analysis, design and development of information systems and GIS in developing countries with a strong emphasis on optimized administrative processes for better transparency and efficiency of public institutions. In addition, he has developed an expertise in free software and has developed several components of information systems for a variety of different fields under specific conditions in diverse countries with extensive experience in training. Most of his projects were developed as multidisciplinary and multicultural environmental, water, urban planning, roads and mining projects. All projects involved technology transfer to clients. He has also supervised the design, implementation and maintenance of intranets, extranets, MIS, GIS, databases and Web applications. He has completed projects in Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Egypt, El Salvador, Madagascar, Nicaragua and Peru.
