Mr. Cesar Carbajal and Mr. Humberto Alva, consultants for the Social Affairs area from the Ministry of Energy and Mines, joined Mrs. Myriam Cabrera, PERCAN project specialist on conflict management, to carry out a training workshop about Negotiation Practices and Techniques for the Natural Resources Sector at Moquegua city, where representatives from several organizations of civil society, mining companies and Regional Government attended. Likewise, a workshop about Analysis and Conflict Management and Social Management took place at Ilo port and people on behalf of several non-governmental organizations, dialogue committee, the media, local and community leaders, mining companies and governmental employees and the Local Mayor of Pacocha attended.
 

Finally, a strategic meeting with the Regional Government of Moquegua was made in order to develop action guidelines and principal points for the Regional Government aimed at improving the relation, communication and conflict preventive management in the mining sector of that region. The Regional Vice President, the General Manager, the Economic Development, Natural Resources and Health Managers, as well as several advisors and other employees of such Regional Government participated in the event.
