Small Scale Mining is an important economic activity that generates incomes and indirect / direct manpower. Responsible mining is to execute rights and assume obligations by Mining Concessions in relation to Mining Environment, Health and Security as stated in the current regulations.
The Artisan Mining with little investment and intensive work, exploits deposits where conventional mining is not generally profitable, it uses consumables of local and national production, as well as simple technologies.
For this reason, the Regional Government of La Libertad through the DREM of La Libertad with the Universidad Nacional de Trujillo and sponsored by the PERCAN Project and the Ministry of Energy and Mines organized the “TRAINING WORKSHOP COURSE ON SMALL SCALE MINING” in order to promote dialogue about Small Scale mining in Environmental, Legal Regulation, Formal Process for Mining Health and Security, Rational Exploitation of Natural Resources, Social Impacts aspects and Successful Experiences obtained by the GAMA Project (Environmental Management on Artisan Mining).
