“Mining Industry in Peru: Alternatives to Improve its Contribution”
It was the name of the reunion summoned by the AMCHA and the Cámara de Comercio de Lima the last February 21. The proposed of this meeting was to present to the representatives of those institutions, the activities that the PERCAN Project is coming development.
The presentation of the activities of PERCAN was on charge of its Director, Ms Anne Slivitzky, who made a summary of the actions of the project, its achievements and perspectives. Later, the panel composed by The President of the Regional Government of Moquega, Mrs. Cristala Constatinides; The President of The Business Solicitor, engineer Augusto Baertl; the Coordinator of the Dialogue Group: Mining and Sustainable Development; and the Assessor of the NGO Labor, Mr. Jose Luis Lopez, commented about the experience they had with the PERCAN Project and their opinions about the necessary conditions to improve the contribution of the mining industry.
There were more than 100 business representatives, included the CONFIEP President, Mr. Jose Miguel Morales, the President of SPCC and the Vice-President of the Mining Area, of the SNMPE, engineer Oscar Gonzales Rocha.
